What is different about Broward County.
- 01
High-Velocity Hurricane Zone
Broward is one of two Florida counties in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Roofing systems, windows and doors must meet the HVHZ provisions of the Florida Building Code, including product approvals for that zone.
- 02
Canals, waterfront & flat terrain
Much of Broward is low-lying and laced with canals. Heavy summer rain and humidity make roof drainage, flashing and window waterproofing details especially important.
- 03
City-by-city permitting
Most Broward municipalities run their own building departments, each with its own submittal process. Knowing which department covers your address keeps a project moving.
Our services in Broward.
01
Kitchen Remodeling in Broward County
We plan circulation, storage and lighting before we pick finishes, so the room you end up with fixes what frustrated you about the old one.
02
Roof Replacement in Broward County
We look beneath the surface (decking, underlayment, flashing and ventilation) so the new roof is specified for South Florida weather, not just replaced like-for-like.
03
Impact Windows in Broward County
Impact-rated glass and frames protect the opening without shutters, and typically make the home quieter and cut the heat and UV that come through the glass.

Questions homeowners ask us
Don’t see your question? Call (888) 780-0454, you will speak with someone who can answer it.
All frequently asked questionsDo you handle permits and inspections?
Roof replacements, window and door replacements and many kitchen remodels require a building permit in Florida. We guide you through what your project needs, coordinate the permit with the right building department and schedule the required inspections as part of the work.
What is the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ)?
The HVHZ is the part of Florida (Miami-Dade and Broward counties) with the strictest building code requirements for wind. Roofing and window products used there must carry approvals for the zone and be installed to those tested methods. Palm Beach County is outside the HVHZ but still has very high design wind speeds.
Do impact windows replace hurricane shutters?
Properly rated and installed impact windows and doors are an approved form of opening protection under the Florida Building Code, so shutters are generally not required on those openings. That means nothing to put up or take down when a storm is forecast.

A member of our team reviews your request and contacts you by phone to talk through the project, timing and budget. If it is a good fit, we arrange a visit to see the home and take measurements, then prepare a written scope and proposal for you to review. There is no obligation at any stage.
